Kinks Tribute Show Sightseeing Tour

From 30 Aug 24 3:00 PM to 30 Aug 24 10:30 PM

Paying homage to one of the greatest groups of all time!

Celebrating 60 years since their formation, Music Heritage London invites you to this Kinks tribute event in the Boston Room!

The event begins with a 3-hour guided sightseeing tour on a 1961 Routemaster, double-decker London bus taking you back to venues and locations where The Kinks and many other 60s music legends performed, recorded and hung-out. You'll visit the site of Harold Pendleton's National Jazz & Blues Festival (1961-1965) and the famous Station Hotel in Richmond where Ray Davies performed as a member of the Dave Hunt Blues Band before forming The Kinks. You'll stop at Olympic Studios, visit the Half Moon in Putney and pass by the Hammersmith Odeon on your way to the Goldhawk Social Club, where The Detours (The Who) supported The Kinks in 1964.

After the tour, you'll be dropped off right outside the George lV pub in good time for dinner (make sure you book a table) or a libation or two before the Boston Room doors open at 7.30pm.

The show begins at 8.00pm with the critically acclaimed 'Konks' tribute band, playing renditions of all of The Kinks' hits and lesser known album tracks - and we've invited some very special guests along who were associated with The Kinks over their 60 year journey.
