Carlton Kirby's Tour de France Amuse Bouche
From 26 Jun 24 7:30 PM to 26 Jun 24 9:30 PM
Three days before the start of the 2024 Tour de France, Carlton Kirby - the Voice of Cycling - joins us for a special, one-off night to preview the race and tell inside stories from his 25 years in the sport.
There will be tales from Carlton's dealings with the sport's big names - Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish and many more - and his misadventures on the road with co-commentator Sean Kelly. He may even (he will) be persuaded to pass on some of his sometimes lucrative tips for this year's race. Carlton will also be signing copies of his most recent book, 'Sticky Bottle: The Cycling Year According to Carlton Kirby'.
In all, it's the perfect way for cycling fans new and old to sharpen their appetite ahead of the Grand Depart on June 29, in the company of one of the best-placed, best-known and most entertaining observers of the sport.
Carlton will be in conversation with Duncan Steer, host of many revealing and entertaining live chat nights at the George IV, with everyone from cycling guests like Steve Cummings and Daniel Friebe to Chelsea football legend Pat Nevin and Baxter Dury, the Gunnersbury Gainsbourg.
Tickets are £15 - the first 25 tickets are £12 and we also have a special Early Bird ticket-and-book offer of just £25 (Book RRP is £16.99)
